VOLUNTEER WITH ECO
ECO Georgia volunteers play an essential role in our work — supporting student field trips on the water, maintaining our oyster nursery at Tybee Oyster Company, and helping bring our community events together. We welcome people of all backgrounds who share an interest in coastal ecosystems and education.

Volunteering with ECO is place-based and hands-on. Depending on your role, you might help a small group of students work through a water quality test on the dock, assist with maintenance of the FLUPSY oyster nursery, or staff a station at one of our fundraising events. All of it takes place here in the Savannah area, connected to the same coastal ecosystems we work to protect.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact

Coastal Education & Field Trips
Support hands-on student field trips at the oyster farm and dock. Help lead stations like plankton sampling, water quality testing, FLUPSY exploration, oyster dissection, and more. Great for those with a background in science, education, or a love of the outdoors.

FLUPSY Nursery Support

Get hands-on with our Floating Upweller System (FLUPSY) at Tybee Oyster Company. Volunteers assist with deep cleaning and maintenance of this oyster nursery. Perfect for those who enjoy physical outdoor work and want a direct connection to the farming side of aquaculture.
Fundraiser & Event Support

Help make events like the Georgia Oyster Revival a success. Volunteers assist with setup and breakdown, guest check-in, staffing stations, and representing ECO to the public. Ideal for friendly, outgoing folks who enjoy working with people and contributing to community events.
