Georgia led the nation in oyster harvesting in the early 1900s, but the industry has seen a significant decline. Today, we're witnessing a powerful revival in oyster aquaculture, bringing new life to our coast. ECO was started in July 2024 to bridge the gap between this thriving industry and education, using oysters. Founded by educators, our mission is to empower other educators, inspiring students to connect deeply with the unique ecosystems in their own backyard.
