Nearly two dozen third graders from Saint Andrew's School visited the farm on Bull River early Tuesday morning. These students have been engaged in learning about oysters since their school year began in August.
Tybee Oyster Company, Georgia's first floating oyster farm, experienced significant growth since WJCL 22 first covered them in 2023, expanding over five hundred percent. The farm has also initiated an educational program called 'Georgia ECO' to teach young students about the environmental benefits of oyster farming.
